They are also developing lasting attitudes about learning, work, and other adult values. In addition to supporting students’ efforts to “Reach Higher” in the classroom, we at R-P Middle School want to help our students look beyond their time in our building. Beginning with the Class of 2016 (this year’s sixth graders) students will be required to earn 2 HS credits in a World Language. Next year, seventh grade students will have the opportunity to earn one of those two credits at R-P Middle School by successfully completing Spanish 1 and the end-of-course proficiency exam. Beginning next year, seventh graders will be required to take Spanish 1.

Monday, March 1, 6-9 PM
From 6–7 PM, there will be an informational presentation by Mr. Beckman, HS Principal,
at the Rocket Centre.
This is the only orientation for students. General information on course offerings,
clubs and activities as well as the expectations of our incoming Freshmen
will be communicated.

HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULING
High School counselors will be available, at the High School, at the following dates
and times to schedule current 8th grade students for their Freshman year classes.
Monday, March 1
4:00 – 6:00 PM
6:00 – 9:00 PM
Tuesday, March 2
5:00 – 6:30 PM
Thursday, March 4
5:00 – 6:30 PM

High school counselors will be visiting the Middle School on Friday, March 5
to schedule any students who have not previously been scheduled. We sincerely
hope you are able to attend Freshman Orientation and spend time before or
after with your student’s High School counselor.
