Adolescents and Their Futures

The “middle school years” are a time of physical growth, exposure to new responsibilities, and experiences with many new emotions. Young people, during this time, are also moving from concrete to abstract thinking as they progress in their studies. They are acquiring a self-concept, as well as social skills. They are also developing lasting attitudes about learning, work, and other adult values. In addition to supporting students’ efforts to “Reach Higher” in the classroom, we at R-P Middle School want to help our students look beyond their time in our building. In order for us to most effectively help our students, we need the support of their families and their other support systems. If you have any questions or ideas on how we can best help your student, please give us a call (744-4721).
