School Board Appreciation Night
Often times, school board members don’t get the recognition deserved them for the time they spend away from home serving their community. In honoring our school board last night, R-P Superintendent, Mr. Stephen Cousins remarked; “Serving as a school board member is the purest form of democracy we have.” We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of people serving our school district!
Senior Travis Hyma donated his beautiful artwork of an elephant to the school board and received a hearty round of applause from the audience.
Mrs. Harris, Travis’ art teacher was present at the meeting and was recognized along with the other district art instructors for their expertise in building the skill levels in the student art donors. Travis’ art is shown in the photos below. If you click on the photo, it will enlarge for a better view.

A Commitment to Graduate
In partnership with Jostens, a banner was created and signed by over 280 freshmen to make the commitment to graduate on time with their classmates.
Yesterday, Mr. Aaron Hein, sales executive for Jostens presented a banner titled: Reeths-Puffer Class of 2013: A Commitment to Graduate. Mr. Hein was on campus to stage a ring assembly for our freshmen and as always, did a fine job with his presentation.
The energy in the Rocket Centre peaked when Mr. Hein challenged the students to commit to their education and make graduation a reality in the spring of 2013 and sign the banner as a testament to this goal. Below are some of the photos taken as the students responded well to the challenge.
This banner will be placed in the freshmen hallway as a reminder to keep focused on your education and the commitment made to graduate.
